Odradek n. 2: call for papers

Segnaliamo che è aperta la selezione di contributi originali in vista dell’uscita del secondo numero di Odradek (>> leggi un post dedicato al primo numero),  la rivista open access dedicata al rapporto tra filosofia e letteratura edita dal gruppo di ricerca Zetesis – Progetto di studi e Dialoghi Filosofici, che fa capo al Dipartimento di Civiltà e forme del sapere dell’Università di Pisa.

Il tema oggetto del fascicolo in preparazione è il seguente:

The Quarrel between Poetry and Philosophy

Tutte le informazioni qui.  In sintesi:

«Authors are cordially invited to submit papers for the upcoming second edition of the Journal that will deal with The Quarrel between Poetry and Philosophy.

Submission deadline: 20th December 2015.

The topic of the proposals might include, but need not to be restricted to:

1. Any philosophical and/or poetic experience which has nourished and/or questioned the distinction between imagination and thought, myths and logos, and so on.

2. The problem of the style of philosophy and the role of rhetoric in philosophy

3. Limits and potentialities of a philosophy of poetry

4. Features of a literature aiming to be philosophical

5. Any political aspects entailed in the Quarrel.

6. The distinction between verse and prose as decisive or not to distinguish poetry from philosophy.

 

All papers will be reviewed according to our peer review process policy.

Languages: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese Spanish».

Odradek: una nuova rivista di filosofia open access

Segnaliamo con piacere la nascita di una nuova rivista open access dedicata al rapporto tra filosofia e letteratura edita dal gruppo di ricerca Zetesis – Progetto di studi e Dialoghi Filosofici, che fa capo al Dipartimento di Civiltà e forme del sapere dell’Università di Pisa.

Odradek. Studies in Philosophy of Literature, Aesthetics and New Media Theories 

In particolare, la rivista incentra la sua indagine su questi temi:
  • filosofia della letteratura;
  • estetica;
  • teorie dei nuovi media.

La rivista è open access e peer reviewed.

Dalla pagina di presentazione del progetto editoriale:

«ODRADEK is an International Journal founded by Zetesis Research Group on the Quarrel between Philosophy and Poetry. Zetesis is a Research Center related to the University of Pisa History, Philosophy and Arts Department (see www.zetesis.cfs.unipi.it and www.zetesisproject.com).

The name “Odradek” evidently stems from Kafka’s tale “Die Sorge des Hausvaters”, where Odradek is an imaginary creature described as an object, but endowed with living properties which let father to think that it could also live after his death. There are many interpretations of what it is. Here is essential to say that Odradek is an undefinable entity as well as it is the object this Journal will investigate: the work of art.

More precisely, Odradek will explore three fields:

– the philosophy of literature: reflections developed over the centuries by philosophers and writers on the nature of poem, literature and narrative fiction, but also the quarrel between contemplative thought (theorein) and artistic-productive activity (poiesis) with regard of the style of philosophizing;

– aesthetics: the philosophical theories concerning arts, beauty, sublime, metaphor, etc. and the related human faculties and impulses such as aesthetic judgement, genius, melancholy, play instinct, inspiration and compositive capacity;

– new media theories: the philosophical exploration of how sensibility, arstistic capacity and communication changed in the age of the digitalization».
